Course Scheduling

Courses, Sessions and a Learner's attendance in Learner Tracker can be create in no time at all. A Course, the subject that is being taught, is created by entering its Name, Tutor, Centre and Provider. And that's it, you're ready to schedule the Course for a term or a custom duration. Choosing the dates you want, if you want it to run on a morning, afternoon or a full day and the weekdays it occurs on. This will create a new Session entry that Learners can be scheduled to attend, any public/bank holidays or staff training days are avoided to make sure the Course runs only on valid teaching days.

Session Attenance

Allocating a Learner on a Course is as simple as choosing it from a list. The available Courses are displayed in each days list, which means you don't book a Learner on a Course that isn't running on that day. After selecting a Course, the Learner is allocated a place on each Session from the selected date until the Course finishes.

Once a Session has taken place, the Learner's attendance can be recorded by choosing from the coded dropdown list. This attendance builds up over time and can be viewed weekly in the Attendance View and can be used to as part of a Learner's review or to be provided to the an Learner's supervisors.

Expenses Calculations

Learners who need to attend a Centre may be entitled to a travel and/or meal allowance for the sessions they attend. Any Sessions that they don't attend can be easily deducted from the following term by using the Expenses Calculator. This makes sure the Learner gets the money they are entitled to, but also recoups any cost for sessions they didn't attend with an unauthorised absence.
