My background
I founded Springboard Creations in 2007 to give a formal name to the freelance work that I was doing whilst I was creating
enterprise applications for local customers. I graduated back in 2002, feels like a long time ago now, from the well respected
University of Northumbria and since been in employment with the National Health Service (NHS) in Cumbria programming in many
different coding languages and database technologies. This has given me the knowledge of a large range of well used, local and
national software applications used throughout the NHS. Working with a large user base gives me the experience necessary
to help guide our customers from the early key decision making stages right through to the successful deployment of the
solution to your desktop.
I'm a father to two great children who keep me entertained and also feeling young. Well, if you call still making ice cream
potions young, then that's what they do.
What I do for fun
On a weekend you'll find me heading off to a wet and muddy forest to watch some form of motorsports. I help out as a marshal
and also take my children if I can tempt them. I am trying to keep fit by running, but it's not working out too well. I ran the
Great North Run a few years back with a time of 2hrs 22mins, I'm aiming to beat it one day.
I am keen on web standards, simple web deisgns that focus on functional requirements primarily and then making it look good.
Web sites have to work to what the customer has asked, not just another web site that has rolled off the production line.
